Custom software development in Finland

Software built around how your business actually works.

When off-the-shelf software forces you into workarounds and spreadsheets, a custom application is often cheaper in the long run. Codeva designs, builds and runs web applications for companies in Finland and across Europe, from the first workshop to production and support.

How a project runs.

Web applications, integrations and internal tools, built to last.

  1. 01 ยท Discovery

A workshop or two to map the process, the users and what has to be true for the project to pay off. You get a written scope and an estimate.

  2. 02 ยท First version

We build the smallest version that is useful in daily work and put it in front of real users within weeks, not months.

  3. 03 ยท Iterate

Short cycles with a demo at the end of each. You see progress every week and can change priorities as you learn.

  4. 04 ยท Run and improve

After launch we host, monitor and maintain the application, or hand it over to your own team with documentation.

What this replaces

Spreadsheets passed around by email

Retyping data between systems

Off-the-shelf tools bent into shape with workarounds

What we build.

And keep running after launch.

Questions we get.

How much does custom software cost?

It depends on the scope, so we start with a short discovery and give you a written estimate before any build work. Most projects start with a small first version, so you see value before committing to more.

Which technologies do you use?

Mostly Laravel and PHP with PostgreSQL, and Livewire or a JavaScript front end where the interface needs it. We pick proven, widely used tools so other developers can work on the code after us.

Who owns the code?

You do. The source code, the data and the hosting accounts are yours, so you are never locked in to us.

Do you work with companies outside Finland?

Yes. We work remotely with clients in Finland and elsewhere in Europe, in English or Dutch.
